Barnabas: The Ministry of Encouragement

The Ministry of Encouragement Becoming a Barnabus in a Broken World Every Christian needs encouragement, and every Christian can become an encourager. Barnabas was known in Scripture as “the son of consolation.” Although he was not always the most prominent man in the room, he was often the one God used to strengthen others. When Saul needed someone to believe that God had truly changed him, Barnabas stood beside him. When the church at Antioch needed strengthening, Barnabas was sent to exhort them. When John Mark had failed and needed another opportunity, Barnabas helped restore him. Again and again, the life of Barnabas reminds us that encouragement is not passive sentiment. It is active ministry. In The Ministry of Encouragement, Scott Pauley shows how God can use one yielded life to bring courage, comfort, and help to many others. Through the example of Barnabas, you will be challenged to strengthen the weary, restore the fallen, encourage fellow servants, and faithfully point others to Christ. You can become a Barnabas in a broken world. This page leads to semons, articls, and a full-length book about Barnabas and the minsitry of encouragement we, like he, should have.
