Overview of The Gospel of John

John was a close disciple of Christ during our Lord's earthly life and ministry. He wrote the most intimate of the four gospel records. In this gospel, we learn of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and we see eight "I Am" statements made by Christ, eight miracles, eight private discourses, and eight titles of Jesus Christ.
