Just as the Holy Spirit is working on our behalf in earth to Heaven, so the Lord Jesus is standing on our behalf in Heaven. We represent Him on Earth, and HE is in Heaven. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us from earth (Romans 8:25-27) and the Son intercedes for us in Heaven (Hebrews 7:25).
