ETJ Conversations with Scott Pauley

In these ETJ Conversations, Scott Pauley sits down with friends, fellow laborers, and faithful believers to discuss how God has worked in their lives through His Word and by His Spirit. The topics vary, and the emphasis may change, yet something remains the same: The faithfulness of God and the sufficiency of His Word.

On this webpage, you can watch each conversation as it is released.

WATCH: Passing the Shepherd's Staff

Scott's dad (Roger Pauley) pastored the Cranberry Baptist Church in Beckley for 33 years and 3 months. Almost three years ago, he retired from the pastorate and passed the shepherd’s staff to Pastor Kevin Cormican.

The process was blessed by God at every step, and the health and growth of the church is a testament to God’s favor. As a church member, I can tell you that it is a wonderful thing when God’s peace rules in a church.

I sat down for an extended conversation with these two shepherds about how God led each of them and how God directed the church through the transition. It was a moving and fascinating discussion, and I believe you will be blessed by watching the two perspectives. May the Lord continue to raise up men with a shepherd’s heart, and may we continue to follow.

WATCH: Ryan's Journey to Freedom

In this moving interview, Scott Pauley interviews Ryan, his cousin and brother in Christ, who shares his remarkable journey from drug addiction to redemption and freedom in Christ.

After years of bondage to substance abuse, losing his mother, and feeling hopeless, Ryan found strength and freedom through the Word of God, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the support of his family and church family. Watch Ryan’s testimony about the transforming grace of Jesus Christ, the mighty power of Scripture, and the importance of faith in God for every part of life.

This story will inspire anyone struggling with addiction or praying for a loved one caught in its grip. It also provides a roadmap for moving toward freedom through Christ.
