WATCH: The Theology of Technology
In this session, Scott Pauley explores the matter of technology and the Bible. Can Scripture guide us in the digital age? What is technology? Is technology bad or good? How should we think about new technologies and digital media as Christians?
These topics and more are addressed in this first session of the Stewarding Technology Seminar. There is a theology to technology because the Word of God is sufficient to guide our lives, even in a digital age!
WATCH: Artificial Intelligence vs. Authentic Wisdom
This timely and biblically grounded session is by experienced computer programmer and avid Bible student David Pack. It serves as a warning about the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence, urging believers to recognize its limitations as a mere tool rather than a source of authentic wisdom.
David draws from James 1:5 and 2 Timothy 3:16–17 to remind us that true wisdom originates not from data-driven algorithms but from divine revelation, personal study of the Word, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
WATCH: "Escaping Escapism"
In this session by Micah Hendry, we discover how God's Word can direct us to avoid our natural desire to escape. Some escape past regrets, others seek escape from present responsibilities, and many more are seeking to remove future realities from their mind.
Technology has provided an instant, socially acceptable way to escape reality. Yet, God's Word teaches us to number our days (Psalm 90). This session deals with stewarding mobile devices, virtual reality, and video games.
