A Daughter, A Sister, A Helper Scott Pauley

There is a double blessing when your children come to know Christ – they become family twice! A son becomes a brother, and a daughter becomes a sister. Lauren is our middle child and, like all of our children, it has been a blessing to her mother and me to watch her grow in the faith.
After graduating from Crown College, she served on the staff of Camp CoBeAc in Michigan for a couple of years. The Lord allowed her to gain a great deal of experience in the administrative office there and through working with pastors and group leaders. We are grateful for all of those who have poured into her life, helping her to become a woman who could be used of the Lord. Last fall, God allowed her to come back home and join our ETJ team.
Lauren serves in our office and helps with much of the daily work of Enjoying the Journey. She is also assisting Micah and Ana with many of our special projects and events throughout the year. You may see or correspond with her sometime soon, but we are grateful for her work behind the scenes in so many ways. It is a blessing to have her as a daughter, a sister, and a helper in the work God has given us to do.
The New Testament is full of examples of how God used individual women to make a difference in the furtherance of the gospel and the advancement of the church. Jesus had a group of women from the Galilee who “ministered unto him” (Luke 8:1-3). In the roll call of laborers in Romans 16, the Apostle Paul begins by commending Phebe, “a servant of the church” (v. 1). Praise God for godly women, young and older, who have labored, prayed, and invested to see the ministry of Christ move forward. We are blessed to have a number of women like this connected to the work of Enjoying the Journey.
You may connect with Lauren at [email protected]. Pray that the Lord will continue to use and guide her life, and ask the Lord to touch the hearts of many more young ladies to give themselves to serve Christ. It is my prayer that many little girls will come into the family of God and then find their place in helping to make Jesus known around the world.
