Christ Is Enough. Scott Pauley

Christ is enough, the miracles of Jesus, what is the purpose of of Jesus' miracles, miracles in the Bible

In the face of physical pain, financial hardship, emotional distress, and spiritual conflict there is one truth that always brings faith and courage: Christ is enough.

Christ is more than enough, in fact, for every necessity or any difficulty. Whatever you are dealing with at this time or whoever you are trying to help, remember that divine resources are always sufficient and you have access to them through Jesus Christ.

The message of the whole Bible is one of divine sufficiency, but perhaps nowhere is this emphasis more fully seen than in the miracles of Jesus. I am excited about sharing some meditations from the miracles of Jesus with you over the next few weeks. Each miracle addresses a different need or circumstance but they all have one great message – Christ is enough!

On Monday we begin this brand new series on our Enjoying the Journey broadcast. You may listen on our website or on your favorite podcast player. I hope you will plan to join us for this extended study from the gospel records. It is our prayer that your faith will be strengthened for the days ahead. (This week we will offer a free resource download of a special Bible reading schedule for the miracles of Jesus.)

And who is sufficient for these things?” (2 Corinthians 2:16). “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5).

Great Expectations

Great Expectations

In antiquity, Pella in Macedonia was a major metropolis. Alexander the Great was born here. Nearby you can visit the intact tombs of his ancestors. Photo by John Buckner. In New Testament times, Macedonia was the region in the north of Greece and is estimated to have had a population of 1.5 million people. Thessalonica was the major city, but the region had other cities such as Philippi and Berea. The province housed the boyhood home of Alexander the Great, and the great road, the Via Egnatia, crossed it. The Roman province of Macedonia extended beyond the boundaries of the old kingdom of Macedonia all the way to the Aegean Sea.

Journey through 3 John

God wants us to do more than hear His Word. He wants us to be obedient to it, doing the work that He has called us to do.

Your ministry is a blessing to our hearts and home. Tonight, the Lord used one of your videos here to encourage my heart. Thank you so much for being a student and preacher of the Word.
