“Nothing is more dreaded than the national government meddling with religion.” These were the words of President John Adams in 1812 and they express a truth that translates well into this generation in our nation. We are all concerned about the protection of religious liberty…or at least we should be.

Adams, who knew something about the cost of fighting for independence, gave this advice: “Let the pulpit resound with the doctrine and sentiments of religious liberty.” This is not a political issue. It is a spiritual one, built upon the Biblical principle of soul liberty. Paul instructed Timothy to pray “for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (1 Timothy 2:2). He goes on in verse 4 to connect this prayer to the advancement of the gospel and the salvation of souls. The decisions of government leaders have implications for both time and eternity.

Religious liberty must be a point of emphasis in our training of the next generation and a specific prayer as we pray for our nation. On Tuesday, April 21 a special Zoom call is being conducted on this very subject. “Faith Wins” Founder Chad Connelly and Dr. Paul Chappell are hosting the call with Presidential adviser and former White House Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, at 4:30 ET.

Along with Ralph Sexton and Byron Foxx, I have the privilege of leading one of the times of prayer on the call and believe the few minutes we have together will be very informative regarding issues vital to our ministries. Will you join us on the call?

Space is limited and you will need to register. Please click the link below to sign up now: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/5615868767445/WN_Er4YmvBAS5i9MgzmK5iXYA
