Are you worn down? Nerves on edge? Wondering what is coming next?

These have been challenging days for so many, but we should not be surprised. As we near the end of time things in this world will no doubt seem more and more “out of sync.” Ours is a world out of step with the Creator. God predicted it and we should expect it!

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy” (1 Peter 4:12-13).

Do not be in despair. There is more to come..

Without a doubt there will be more trouble, more persecution, and more wickedness. But, there will also be more grace, more joy, and more spiritual power!

Charles Spurgeon told the story of a wealthy benefactor who took it upon himself to support a village preacher who was very poor. The funds were sent in increments and always accompanied by a little note that simply said: “More to come.”

Find a quiet place on your knees to talk to the God of all supply and you will be reminded that He has “bread enough and to spare.” He will meet you where you are today and there is more to come.

Open your Bible and read again the beautiful promises given us both for this life and for eternity. God’s grace is sufficient now and there is more to come.

Ponder how good God has been and how many blessings He has already given. Rejoice, my friend, this is not the end – there is more to come.

For the child of God there is always more to come! God saves the best for last.

But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18).

Yes, there is more to come.

The theme of the book of Zephaniah is this: judgment brings bitterness: the extent of judgment, and blessing: the intent of judgment.

In Israel, the almond tree is a herald of spring, since it is the first tree to blossom. What is the Significance of Almonds in the Bible? Almond blossoms with the ruins of ancient Shiloh in the background. Almonds were among the gifts that Jacob sent with his sons to give to the ruler of Egypt, whom he later learned was his lost son Joseph. Bethel, the house of God, was previously called Luz, another word for almond. The word luz is still used by Arabs and Kurdish Jews for almonds. Photo by John Buckner
