Special Announcement! Scott Pauley

I am so very excited about the news I am going to share with you today! At the beginning of this year we began a daily podcast to promote the study of God’s Word. It is a joy to meet people who are being helped by the daily episodes.

Friends have shared with me that they are using the podcast in their family devotions. Some are using it for Bible class as they homeschool their children. College students and working people have told me they have made it a part of their morning or evening commute. It is a privilege to teach the Bible to so many precious people.

The first weeks of Enjoying the Journey were a study through the book of Philippians. Our most recent series on “The Daily Christian Life” concentrated on daily habits of victorious believers. (If you would like to catch up on any of these episodes you may do so at podcast.scottpauley.org.)

At the end of this month we are beginning a brand new series of studies and one that I am particularly looking forward to!

Every book of God’s book has a message for us. It is sad that many sections of Scripture are sorely neglected. This study, “Journey Through Scripture,” will make a stop in every one of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.

Our goal is two-fold:

  • To learn something about God’s revelation of Himself in every book.
  • To discover specific direction for our lives from every portion of the Bible.

Would you make the journey with us? It will go quickly. Our stops will be very brief in each place. When we are done you will know something about each book in your Bible, and, we trust, will know more about the One who wrote it.

The new study begins on Monday, March 26! Subscribe at enjoyingthejourney.org/broadcast,on iTunes or Google Play.

I hope to meet you along the way! It is my prayer that you are Enjoying the Journey

Your friend,

Scott

Great Expectations

Great Expectations

In antiquity, Pella in Macedonia was a major metropolis. Alexander the Great was born here. Nearby you can visit the intact tombs of his ancestors. Photo by John Buckner. In New Testament times, Macedonia was the region in the north of Greece and is estimated to have had a population of 1.5 million people. Thessalonica was the major city, but the region had other cities such as Philippi and Berea. The province housed the boyhood home of Alexander the Great, and the great road, the Via Egnatia, crossed it. The Roman province of Macedonia extended beyond the boundaries of the old kingdom of Macedonia all the way to the Aegean Sea.

Journey through 3 John

God wants us to do more than hear His Word. He wants us to be obedient to it, doing the work that He has called us to do.
