March Ministry Scott Pauley

It was one year ago this month that so many things came to a halt. Isn’t it wonderful to know that God continued to work? We are grateful to be able to travel and minister God’s Word in so many places again.
Recently I have been thinking of how exciting it will be when we get to our final destination! That is not here…it is in a city that Christ is preparing for us. In my devotional reading last week I came across Hebrews 13:14, a verse that sums up the heart of a traveler, “For here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come.” I feel like I’m living that verse every week! But this is not just the truth of an itinerant preacher, it is the reality of every pilgrim making our way to what John Bunyan called “the celestial city.”
This world is not my home – I am just passing through! Let’s ask God to help us make this one pass all that it should be for eternity. Our prayer is that God will use you where you are. March will be a heavy month of travel and ministry and we deeply appreciate you praying for us as we serve in these local churches and special meetings…

There are many who base their entire view of themselves, their purpose, and their worth on the perception of others. In our day, many people allow social media algorithms to define them rather than our eternal God. Algorithms or Almighty God? This is a Battle for Definition.

Algorithms or Almighty God: Who Defines You?

When Onesimus was thrown in jail, Paul shared with him the glorious message of forgiveness and mercy in Jesus Christ. Onesimus becoame a believer as well. Imagine his shock when he found out the man who had just led him to the Lord Jesus Christ also showed his master (Philemon) how to be saved. Further, they are dear friends! Onesimus was sent back to Philemon, back home with a letter of pardon. That letter stated that his life was changed forever.

The purpose of Bible memory and how to practice it. God wrote a memory Book! This is what the Word of God was given for: to help us remember what God wants us to remember and what we are so prone to forget. Scripture memory is frequently emphasized to children and young people, but sorely neglected as we get older. Yet this is the time when God's Word most needs to be reinforced and rehearsed! Hebrews 2:1 says, "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."
