We are drawing to the close of a very busy year! I am grateful to have a little extra time with the family over the next few weeks. Most of our December meetings are on Sundays and Wednesdays, and we look forward to being with several churches.

As always, we are grateful for your prayers and hope to see many of you soon. It would be a joy to hear from your family during this season. May God help us all to finish 2017 strong in the Lord!

When Onesimus was thrown in jail, Paul shared with him the glorious message of forgiveness and mercy in Jesus Christ. Onesimus becoame a believer as well. Imagine his shock when he found out the man who had just led him to the Lord Jesus Christ also showed his master (Philemon) how to be saved. Further, they are dear friends! Onesimus was sent back to Philemon, back home with a letter of pardon. That letter stated that his life was changed forever.

The purpose of Bible memory and how to practice it. God wrote a memory Book! This is what the Word of God was given for: to help us remember what God wants us to remember and what we are so prone to forget. Scripture memory is frequently emphasized to children and young people, but sorely neglected as we get older. Yet this is the time when God's Word most needs to be reinforced and rehearsed! Hebrews 2:1 says, "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."
