Our world has some mixed up ideas about love! The devil and the flesh always try to pervert what is perfect. Only the God who is love can teach us how to love.

God’s love is deep and wide. It is inexhaustible and infinite – because God is. It is greater than our sin. Greater than our conflicts and divisions. Greater than our prejudices and anger. The further we go with the Lord the deeper we enter in to His love.

Today we conclude part 1 of our podcast series on the Great Journeys Of the Bible. (If you would like to listen to the first 25 episodes on the journeys of the Old Testament you may access the archive here.) God willing, we will begin part 2 – the journeys of the New Testament – in just a few days.

Before we continue that study I want to spend a week in the greatest chapter in the Bible on love. As we approach Valentine’s Day there will be expressions and explanations of “love” everywhere. How does God define love and how can it be a reality in our lives?

Join me this coming Monday through Friday as we walk through 1 Corinthians 13. It is a life changing portion of Scripture and I am excited about studying it together. Plan to listen and encourage those you love to listen as well. As always you can find Enjoying The Journey on your favorite podcast platform. Thanks for making the journey with us.

The prayer of Paul is my prayer for you…

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:14-19).

Ephesians 6 reminds us that there are many in this world who are exercising their authority under the authority of Satan. We live in time, yet God is eternal.
