Tomorrow we begin the first meetings of a brand new year. We are grateful to God for allowing us to give the last five years to the work of evangelism and look forward to all God has for us in the days ahead. Thank you for keeping up with us and going with us through prayer. We wanted to give our friends a first glance at something we have been working on for some time…

New Ministry Website

Later this month we will launch a new ministry website, EnjoyingTheJourney.org. The new site will continue to provide what is currently available at enjoyingthejourney.org, but with much more content and a search engine that we believe will be helpful to anyone studying God’s Word. The new online home of ETJ will offer:

  • All Enjoying the Journey podcast episodes arranged by series
  • An archive of hundreds of blog articles
  • Free downloadable tools for personal Bible study
  • Resources to use for evangelism and discipleship
  • Video library of Bible messages and brief devotional thoughts

The most exciting part of the new site is its search capabilities. You will be able to search all written, audio, and video content by key word, subject matter, or Scripture reference! Our prayer is that this will be a great tool as you study and share God’s truth with others.

Watch for the new site to release later this month
and help us share it with others!

What Can We Learn From Jonah?

The King Herod who built the Herodium is the same Herod who tried to kill Jesus, and ordered the slaughter of the babies in nearby Bethlehem. He knew his subjects hated him, so before he died, he provided for his tomb to be guarded after his death. After a couple of years, the money ran out so the guards went home. The vengeful locals trashed his palace and smashed his ornate mausoleum to tiny pieces.

The altar of sacrifice in front of the holy of holies in Arad. Even though it is a smaller imitation, the temple here gives the visitor an idea of how the Temple in Jerusalem appeared.
