“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” – Colossians 3:14-15

Valentine’s Day has become one of the most loved holidays! People enjoy the mystery and joy that surrounds love and romance. But when it comes to true love, we all have so much to learn from the God of love. As believers, we are striving to be more like Christ, and our love ought to be a reflection of His love for us. Enjoying the Journey is committed to helping others develop Christlikeness and equipping them along the way. Last year, we began using the Bible App platform and we are grateful for how God has used it.

For this Valentine’s Day, we would like to invite you as a couple to study through 1 Corinthians 13 with us. We all have room for improvement in our relationships and this may be a help to you. One nice feature is that you can invite others to study this plan with you. Each day, you can write comments and share verses with your spouse as you go. We trust you will be encouraged and challenged!

No one can love as Christ loves us. He loves us with perfect love. This Valentine’s Day, let us all take the time to thank Him for loving us and dying for us (Romans 5:8). Now, may that same spirit of love be evident in our daily lives. Perhaps you are single – God desires to teach us the importance of divine love in all of our relationships. We hope you will join us for this study.

An additional resource to accompany you in our study of 1 Corinthians 13 is the powerful book “The Greatest Thing in the World” by Henry Drummond. We have made this classic available to you free of charge. Click here to download the full pdf version.

What Can We Learn From Jonah?

The King Herod who built the Herodium is the same Herod who tried to kill Jesus, and ordered the slaughter of the babies in nearby Bethlehem. He knew his subjects hated him, so before he died, he provided for his tomb to be guarded after his death. After a couple of years, the money ran out so the guards went home. The vengeful locals trashed his palace and smashed his ornate mausoleum to tiny pieces.

The altar of sacrifice in front of the holy of holies in Arad. Even though it is a smaller imitation, the temple here gives the visitor an idea of how the Temple in Jerusalem appeared.
