September Itinerary and a Word from Our Family Scott Pauley

God has been so very gracious to us. The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity and change. Thank you for praying for our family as we have relocated back to West Virginia.

Times of transition remind you of so many truths. For me, one of those has been that God chose the perfect wife for me! Tammy has been so supportive in every way and has made the transition smooth for our home. Morgan, Lauren, and Grant have started the school year in a new school and are doing very well. When we are not on the road, we are all enjoying the opportunity to be near family again.

My dad has pastored the Cranberry Baptist Church in Beckley for the last twenty-six years. This is the church that first sent me to Crown College twenty-two years ago when I graduated from high school. We are truly grateful that they are now serving as our sending church (cranberrybaptistchurch.com).

With three new believers in Georgia

I praise God for souls saved and numbers of people coming back to the Lord over the last few weeks. The Lord is answering prayers and it is a thrill to watch Him work! We have seen a divine stirring in churches, a holy hunger for revival. May the Holy Spirit continue to do what only He can do.

Pray with me the prayer of the weeping prophet, Jeremiah, in Lamentations 5:21, “Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.” Charles Spurgeon said that the prayers God answers are those that begin with Him. This is His Word. It should be our prayer.

The month of September will be a busy one and we truly appreciate your intercession on our behalf! It would be a joy to hear from you or see you at one of these meetings…

Samson and The Sorek Valley

Mathematically, it is impossible that one man could fulfill so many unique prophecies, many of which were related to the actions of others toward him. How can you orchestrate your death in such a specific manner i.e. By crucifixion (not invented) between criminals, being given vinegar to drink while dying, being killed at the hands of the Gentiles, after being betrayed by your dear friend? These are a fraction of the hundreds of such prophecies Jesus fulfilled. It is only possible if that Man was the God-man - Jesus Christ. Our Approach The prophecies in our list are many of those connected to the circumstances, surroundings, characteristics, events, manners, and traits that the Lord Jesus fulfilled during His earthly ministry. It is by no means comprehensive but serves as a reference and devotional guide to those seeking the Lord Jesus. Types and figures have been omitted, for they are woven throughout the entirety of Scripture. Truly, every part of the Written Word points to the Word made flesh, Who dwelt among us (John 1:14). We trust this list of 55 prophecies about the first coming of Christ will serve to demonstrate the total confidence you can have that Jesus is the Messiah, the Redeemer, The Son of God.
