30 Day Prayer Guide January 31, 2017

We would like to make available to you this “Tool to Strengthen Believers.” It serves to accompany our current series on Watch and Pray. Several years ago as I studied the life of Daniel the Holy Spirit drew my attention to the fact that the devil tried to get Daniel to stop the discipline of prayer for 30 days (Daniel 6:7).

30 days. That’s all.

Researchers now say that habits are formed in as little as 21 days. In less than a month new patterns emerge. Old ones are broken. 30 days can change everything. It is my conviction that Satan sought to keep Daniel from praying for 30 days with the idea that if he would stop for 30 days he would not begin again. Then a most wonderful thought came! What if we committed to prayer for 30 days?

30 days. That’s all.

What if believers took a 30-day challenge in prayer? In 30 days you begin to discover the adventure of communion with Christ and intercession for others. If you will truly pray for 30 days you will desire to continue in prayer long after that time. I have developed a simple 30-day prayer plan that can be used as you approach a brand-new month. It can be used every month! And I would like to share it with you…

Print off the prayer guide below and place it in your Bible. Make it a part of your devotional time for the next 30 days. Begin by meditating on the Scripture for each day. Allow it to lead you to a specific prayer. While you may pray for many things every day, begin to concentrate on one prayer need each day. Plan now to begin this month with definite prayer!

Please let us know if this tool is a help to you. It would be a joy to hear from you. Don’t just add it to your toolbox! Use it and share it with someone else. Let’s make this our prayer, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1).

Brother Pauley. I was praying the Lord would use you in a very special way this Monday at Temple Baptist Church. I was there Saturday and Sunday but had to come back home to Ohio. Love your preaching and pray often for you. Keep on for Christ.

Bro. Pauley, what a blessing you were this past weekend in Salado, Texas. I could not take notes fast enough, especially when you spoke about the importance of the tongue. I am part of our prison ministry and I will attempt to share your thoughts as best as I can. Thanks for the entire experience. May God continue to bless you and your Family for the rest of your years on this blessed earth…
