In a few weeks we will launch a new website. We hope that enjoyingthejourney.org will provide gospel resources as well as encouragement to believers, families, and churches. It will also give us a means to publish our itinerary. Tammy, Morgan, Lauren, Grant, and I hope to see many friends as we conduct meetings over the coming year. Most of all, we are asking those we love to pray for us that God will use us for His glory.

Until the website is ready our monthly schedule will be posted here. Please help us pray for the following meetings in January 2016:

Sunday morning and evening, January 3 – Rich Creek Baptist Church, Spanishburg, WV, Pastor Ralph Calfee

Sunday morning and evening, January 10 – Pleasant Beach Baptist Church, Elizabethton, TN, Pastor Mark Fowler

Thursday, January 14 – Middle Tennessee Classic, Southhaven Christian School, Springfield, TN, Pastor Frank Gagliano

Sunday morning, January 24 – Gloryland Baptist Church, Camp Creek, WV, Pastor Jack Barber

Sunday evening, January 24 – Pine Grove Baptist Church, Lindside, WV, Pastor Jack Martin

Monday – Wednesday, January 25-27 – Revival, Rock Heritage Baptist Church, Kingsport, TN, Pastor Trevor Knight

Friday, January 29 – Teen Winter Retreat, Hoosier Hills Baptist Camp, Dillsboro, IN, Director: Chris Chavez

Sunday morning and evening, January 31 – Victory Baptist Church, Bristol, VA, Pastor Austin Cook

2016 will be an exciting year and we are looking forward to the first full month of meetings. If you are within driving distance of any of these services it would be thrilling to see you! Should you need additional information you may contact the host pastors directly or write me at scott@enjoyingthejourney.org.

This week I had the privilege of enjoying a meal with a precious friend and his family while I was speaking at the church they attend. The fellowship was a tremendous encouragement. It is my prayer that the Lord will allow us to be a blessing to as many people as possible wherever He may send us.

Thank you for your intercessory prayer on our behalf.

“Gideon, A Study in Contrasts” by Dr. Charles Keen

Everybody Loves a Good Story!

Wildflowers in biblical Moab. When she came back to Bethlehem, Naomi used some Hebrew wordplay. She said that “the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.” (1:20) The Hebrew word she used for Almighty, שַׁדַּי is very close to the word used in verse 1:1 for “the country,” שְׂדֵי. In this way, the reader understands the true origin of Naomi’s bitter dealings: the country of Moab.

Be safe and I am bless to have a friend and a Christian brother like you. Be in Gods will and I will pray that many souls will be saved through your preaching. Hope to see you and your family soon. Saw Mrs. Pauley sunday but did not get to speak to her.

Praying for you to have safe travels and that you will be an encouragement and blessing to those you have the opportunity to preach to, as you have been to us these last 20 years. We love you and Tammy and the children. If there is anything we can help your family with, please let us know.

Hello Bro. Pauley. This is Robert West. Do you know when you might be heading out towards Eastern NC? My pastor and I would love to have you for a single day meeting and bring some other youth in from the area. Thanks!

I would love to come sometime! I am scheduled to do a youth rally and Sunday in Elizabeth City, NC, Sept. 30-Oct. 30 of 2017. Not sure if I will be out that way before then or not. Let your pastor know that I would be happy to look at any dates he had in mind for the future. This year is full already. Hope to see you soon, my friend!
