Would You Help Us Help Others? September 16, 2017

Gospel-ICON_world

Four months from today I will fly to India. One of my prayers in evangelism was that God would open doors for us to preach the gospel in other countries and help to train gospel laborers in those places. He is answering that prayer.

Dr. P.D. Cherian is being mightily used of God at the South India Baptist Bible College. I am happy to help him in that needy part of the world. India alone has 1.3 billion souls who need the message of Christ.

In January 2018 we will be conducting a special evangelistic campaign. Please pray that God would give an abundant harvest of souls. We are trusting the Lord for “great and mighty things.”

Many from that region of the world are coming through tremendous personal sacrifice to Coimbatore for this special meeting. It is our desire to raise funds to help defray expenses for God’s work and God’s servants.

I need your help. Would you consider giving a one-time gift to this worthy effort? Everything that is given will be used to meet the needs for this week of preaching and teaching God’s Word.

All gifts are tax deductible and will be handled through our sending church. You may send your gift to Cranberry Baptist Church, 201 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV, 25801. Please memo your gift: India Mission Project. If you have additional questions please write me at scott@enjoyingthejourney.org.

Thank you in advance for having a part in God’s work in India.

Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account” (Philippians 4:17).

Wildflowers in biblical Moab. When she came back to Bethlehem, Naomi used some Hebrew wordplay. She said that “the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.” (1:20) The Hebrew word she used for Almighty, שַׁדַּי is very close to the word used in verse 1:1 for “the country,” שְׂדֵי. In this way, the reader understands the true origin of Naomi’s bitter dealings: the country of Moab.

Praying for you as you are empowered by the Lord to minister to all He brings before you during your time in India. As the Holy Spirit led and empowered Paul, so will you be emboldened to preach and minister with Christ working through you to do what only He can do…..
