Today on “Enjoying the Journey” we conclude our study through the book of Philippians. I have heard from people across the country and even outside the U.S. who have joined us over the last few weeks. Thank you for taking time to listen!

If you missed some of the broadcasts you may find all 41 episodes at podcast.scottpauley.org. I am excited to announce that this week we begin a brand new series of studies on “The Daily Christian Life.”

God has designed the Christian life to be lived one day at a time, with daily responsibilities and daily resources. Over the next few weeks we will discover specific Scriptures that address the “daily” life of the believer. This will be a very personal and practical study.

I hope you will join us each day for this 10 minute podcast. If you have not subscribed you may do so at enjoyingthejourney.org/broadcast or find us on iTunes or Google Play. Please help us share this resource with others who may need daily encouragement from God’s Word.

We are “Enjoying the Journey” and pray that you are too!

The King Herod who built the Herodium is the same Herod who tried to kill Jesus, and ordered the slaughter of the babies in nearby Bethlehem. He knew his subjects hated him, so before he died, he provided for his tomb to be guarded after his death. After a couple of years, the money ran out so the guards went home. The vengeful locals trashed his palace and smashed his ornate mausoleum to tiny pieces.

The altar of sacrifice in front of the holy of holies in Arad. Even though it is a smaller imitation, the temple here gives the visitor an idea of how the Temple in Jerusalem appeared.
